Akande wants APC’s return to power in Osun

 


A former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress in the state to strengthen the party ahead of the 2026 governorship poll.


The APC, riddled with crisis, was ousted from power in the state during the governorship election held in July 2022 and won by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke.


This was as the party leaders and stakeholders unanimously adopted the former governor of the state and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, as the leader of the party in the state.


Akande spoke in Ila, his country home, during the APC stakeholders’ meeting he hosted, which was attended by leaders of the party, including Oyetola; APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Basiru; Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, among oth
